Kiwanis of Paulding, Ohio
The Kiwanis Club of Paulding County, Ohio, located in a village of 3,500 people, would like to build a playground at the Lela McGuire Jeffery Park. This park is owned by the Village of Paulding and is currently the home of four baseball/softball ball fields and will soon be the home of five soccer fields. The Paulding Ball Association uses the fields during the spring and summer months, while the Paulding Soccer Club uses the fields during the summer and fall months making the park a very well enjoyed asset to the community. However, is it lacking an all-inclusive playground for all kids to enjoy and stay active during off times. The need to keep children active, but safe, is growing ever greater as the world around us is changing and less is available. This playground will have elements that are accessible to everyone with certain elements for each age range and those with physical limitations. The vision is for this facility to be used by every member of the family, so that can enjoy time together strengthening the family bond.
The Paulding Kiwanis is committed to providing funds to see this project come to fruition as they see the need and desire to have active children in a safe environment in our community.
The Paulding Soccer Club has committed to maintain the playground in the future as they see the need for more activities for their players and families.
